PERTHS BEST EBIKE SPECIALIST DEALER

Five of Perth’s best places to ride an eBike

Whether you are buying or hiring an eBike from us, you’ll likely want to know where you can go for a nice ride. Perth has plenty of spots that welcomes eBike riders (as well as their non-motorized brethren), so here we give you some ideas about five great spots to go for a bike ride around Perth and it’s surrounds.

Swan River Foreshore including (or not) Kings Park

Just about the entire length of the Swan River within the metropolitan area (lets call it from the Swan Valley to Fremantle) can be safely and easily ridden, but we really love the stretch from the Perth foreshore down to Fremantle. This route stretches from Perth city to Fremantle and is a scenic ride along the river with beautiful views of the city skyline, parks, and beaches.

Along the way you’ll bump into Elizabeth Quay with it’s views across to the South Perth foreshore and many cafes and restaurants to sit down and relax at. If you’re looking at the river, just look to your right and up a little, and you’ll see Kings Park. This 400 hectare parkland offers some hilly terrain to get up there (no problem on an eBike), and some special views back down on the city and river, as well as a nice mixture of all kinds of flora, from perfectly manicured botanical gardens to natural Aussie bushland. It is a detour from the route, but well worth it. UWA sits in the bend in the river known as Matilda Bay, both of which are worth a pause for a look and maybe a photo (remember to tag #theebikespecialist). Further along you’ll cruise through Nedlands, out to Claremont, and then join the cycle path for the short burst to see Port Beach before hitting Fremantle.

If you want, you can turn it into a full river loop (it’s 53km all up) to make it a full day of riding! If that’s a bit too much ‘fun’ for one day, stay the night in Freo, or jump on the Transperth train to get you and your bike back to Perth. Keep in mind, there are times that bikes are not allowed on trains so check the link out before climbing aboard.
